The Blaze amps 18T is a 2 channel 18 watt circuit based on the Marshall 1974x - the normal channel has one volume and one tone control. At lower volumes, the clean tone is full, rich and very musical. As you turn up the volume the distortion becomes more and more intense, much like an overdrive pedal. The amp cleans up very nicely as well by controlling the volume from your guitar. The distortion produced by the 18T is musical - rich with second-order harmonics and balanced frequency response. At full volume the tube saturation and sag result in a complete balls-out, overdriven British tone with plenty of natural tube compression. The simple one-knob tone control is all you need. The Tremolo channel is a little sweeter, with slightly less gain. It's distinctly different than the Normal channel and provides another versatile voice, full-sounding if you want to get that vintage vibe going. This channel also has one tone control and once again that's all you need. A fantastic amp for recording.
